About Our Trainer Jessica absolutely loves the Gypsy Horse breed. I don't think there is a single thing she would truly change about it. Her every ride and interaction with them is the concern for the horses well-being, to make sure she is in no way hindering their movement, communication and personality. We've been around enough Show Horses to know, they can be beat down into machines. But she wants the horse to keep its special personality, showing them how they can keep it without losing it in training. It's a gentle, and correction repeated, and move-on method. The more correct you do it the first time, the quicker the horse picks up the correct thought process. Getting the Answer right when asked a Question. Simple as that. And her formula has worked over and over again.
She has racked up multi-National Championships, Reserve Championships, and Grand Championships in a few States. She has also been Youth, Pony, Draft, Halter (Mare & Gelding) , Showmanship, Draft Showmanship, In-Hand Obstacle, Driven Obstacle, Line Driven Obstacle, Reinsmanship, Draft Driving, Pleasure Driving, Hunter Hack, Dressage, Jumping, Ranch Riding, Western Horsemanship, English Equitation. Overall High Point Youth, Adult, Amateur Champion to name a few, also in a few States. Along with 3 different Gypsy Breed Registry, Overall High Point Winner.
Jessica trained not only her horses but help train and has rode many to also get high placings. Her education is based on pure experience and learning what the Gypsy horse is trying to tell her. She has worked hard every single day and countless hours, and she is still learning as there is SO much more she has yet to learn. Always striving to make sure the horse in the area is looking and showing its best with the little things that truly matter. She strives to be the best to show what her horses can do, and how nicely these guys can perform as All-Around Horses, just as well if not better then other breeds, without her getting in their way. She does it with a smile and a can-do-anything attitude. She's loves helping youngsters and participated in 4H for many years and was even on 4H board, and later became 4H Horse and Pony President of our County here in MI. She is currently giving lessons at Serenity Farm Gypsy Horses. Teaching how to ride, how to control horse, how to look and see what the horse is trying to tell the students. She is all about getting out of the mouth and learning to move the horses body through the students bodies, working to become a single mind, to help focus on their goals. Jessica also just loves to share this breed with others, from Parades, Nursing Home Visits, and Expos. Along with starting foals early with basic ground work and age appropriate training. |
